If it is accurate enough to hit a carrier, the billions we spent on a surface fleet would be useless against china.

U.S. needs to mount missile defense lasers on our carrier fleet. Heck, put LASERS on freakin everything! Increase funding for missile defense, please. Oh wait, the Democrats don't like the military. Too busy dumping trillions in a giant credit bailout hole. We're screwed, then.

Oh noes! Now the Us will have to spend billions developing a weapons system that can counter the ASBM, which the Chinese just spend billions developing. When they succeed in this, the Chinese will have to spend another fortune developing yet another weapon ... and so on and so forth.
Doesn't it strike the rest of you as being a stupid way of spending huge amounts of this planet's resources?

The sharks were put on the endangered species list, it would have taken months to clear up all the red tape.
